Coronation Street fans spotted a major clue as one member of the street is set to be killed in a gripping new storyline. The soap recently announced a murder mystery plot as one character’s time on the cobbles will come to a dramatic end in April. In a dramatic flashforward which aired on Monday, viewers watched Betsy Swain interviewed by the police after finding a dead body of someone she knows.
Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster were unveiled as each potentially having reason to be brutally killed.
As the episode returned to the present day, viewers looked closely at the behaviour of each and every character, and how it could lead to one shocking death in two months time.
During Wednesday’s episode, Kevin Webster and Ronnie Bailey paid a visit to the police station to visit Debbie. However, they were lost for words when Debbie told them the bombshell news that Carl Webster is her biological son, not her brother.
The pair were hurt Debbie had lied to them, but their anger soon turned towards Carl who has allowed Debbie to take the blame for his drink-driving, which led to Billy Mayhew’s death during the Corriedale episode last month.

After seeing Debbie in prison with a black eye, Kevin and Ronnie seem determined to do anything it takes to get her out, including punishing Carl for all of the pain he has caused.
Speaking about Carl, Kevin told Debbie: “He shouldn’t be putting you through this.” He added: “I could kill him for what he’s done to you”.
Debbie said: “You don’t mean that”, but the Weatherfield mechanic’s harsh words had viewers questioning what he is really capable of as he said: “Don’t I?”
Later in the episode, a furious Ronnie and Kevin cornered Carl and told him exactly what they wanted him to do.
Ronnie punched Carl and pinned him up against the wall as he said: “Do you not understand what you’ve done? My terminally ill wife, your mother, you’ve let her do bird for something you did.”
Kevin told Carl: “Listen to me because I don’t like repeating myself. You’re gonna do the right thing by Debbie and you’re going to tell the police the truth, get her released.”
Ronnie added: “Because if you don’t mate, your life ain’t gonna be worth living.” The episode came to an chilling end as Kevin said his final line to Carl: “You’ve heard what I’ve said…”

Viewers were thrilled to see Kevin and Ronnie team up to go against Carl, who is developing more and more enemies each day. Other fans began to wonder if Kevin is capable of murdering Carl to get him out of their lives for good.
Although nothing has been confirmed yet, could Carl’s time on the street be brought to an end by his own family member?
Taking to social media, one viewer said: “The Ronnie and Kevin team up on Carl oh it’s GOOD.” Another said: “I’m guessing Carl is the one who gets killed in #Corrie.”
A third suggested Ronnie could be the one to kill Carl, they said: “I’d love Ronnie to kill Carl but only if he can get away with it.”
Coronation Street airs weekdays at 8.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
