The ATP event at Delray Beach this week has an unusually strong field for an ATP 250 event and it has delivered plenty of high quality and exciting matches so far. Day 4 will feature the four remaining last 16 matches and decide the quarterfinal lineup, with #1 American Taylor Fritz in action among some other great players.
ATP Delray Beach Day 4 Predictions
Learner Tien vs Miomir Kecmanovic
Head-to-head: Tien 1-1 Kecmanovic
Tien had a fantastic run to the Australian Open quarterfinals but followed it up with a first round loss in Dallas to Marin Cilic. He has another tough draw here in Delray Beach, with Kecmanovic having shown a great level in Dallas and in the first round here. The pair played a fantastic match in Shanghai last year and this should also be a very exciting and well contested one.
Prediction: Tien in 3
Zachary Svajda vs Frances Tiafoe
Head-to-head: first meeting
Tiafoe has been struggling ever since Roland Garros last year, but he has a chance to make a good run here with a very comfortable draw on paper. Svajda has been making some progress recently, but Tiafoe is definitely the better player of the two, and under normal circumstances he should be able to advance here.
Prediction: Tiafoe in 2
Adam Walton vs Tommy Paul
Head-to-head: first meeting
Paul survived a very long dogfight against Corentin Moutet in the first round and now has, at least on paper, an easier second round match against Walton, who has mostly failed to make significant inroads at ATP level. Paul is looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2025 season and he has a great chance to start doing that this week.
Prediction: Paul in 2
Taylor Fritz vs Rafael Jodar
Head-to-head: first meeting
Jodar got a great win over Ethan Quinn in the first round, but at this stage of his development Fritz should be a step too far. After the disappointment of his narrow loss to Ben Shelton in the Dallas final, he is going for the title against this week and with his serve and power he should be able to overwhelm the young Spaniard.
Prediction: Fritz in 2
