Ruth Langsford has made a heartbreaking confession about her relationship with Eamonn Holmes. The Loose Women host, 65, was married to the former This Morning star, 66, for 14 years until they called time on their marriage in 2024, leaving their legion of loyal fans in shock.
Ruth, who shares son, Jack, 23, with Eamonn has kept a dignified silence since the split after the GB News host started dating relationship councillor, Katie Alexander, 44 – who he promptly took to the party island of Ibiza in news which hit all the headlines.
Mum-of-one, Ruth, has admitted to being blindsided and ‘broken’ since the split and she has now revealed she wanted another baby with Eamonn after their son, Jack, was born – only for the dad-of-four to reportedly shoot the suggestion down.

“I remember looking at Jack being cute and I said, ‘Should we have another one?’ Eamonn just went, ‘Jesus, really? Four kids!’,” Ruth told Daily Mail’s Weekend Magazine.
She continued: “He didn’t say no, it just stopped me in my tracks. I thought, ‘You know what, Ruth, don’t push your luck, you’re 42, you conceived naturally, had a good pregnancy and a healthy baby. Be grateful.’
“But yes, in another life I saw myself with more.”

During the rare interview, Ruth also revealed her split from Eamonn left her “devastated”, describing it as a “huge shock” after sources claimed the star stumbled upon her husband secretly speaking to another woman on the phone.
Ruth’s startling honesty comes as her tell-all memoir, Feeling Fabulous is set to release next week and promises to detail “the ups, the downs and the lessons that have shaped her”.
Eamonn quickly moved on with current girlfriend Katie after the split and recent reports claim the loved-up couple have bought a luxury weekend retreat near Eamonn’s native Belfast in Northern Ireland. Ruth, whose new book will no doubt fly off the shelves, has described being left ‘blindsided’ by the breakup, adding that she was worried she’d be alone for the rest of her life.
The former TV golden couple’s sudden split stunned fans, not least because Eamonn had been battling a series of debilitating health issues, with Ruth acting as his carer.
Following their decision to divorce, Eamonn moved out of their Surrey home and, despite the 22-year age gap, his relationship with marriage counsellor Katie appears to be flourishing. The couple enjoy luxury getaways and regularly attend high-profile events together.
Speaking about how she processed her heartache, Ruth revealed: “The end of a very long relationship takes a lot of unravelling. Counselling helps you move on from it, to not be held back… I definitely see light in the future where I didn’t before.”
