Frank Martin was pushed to the brink and forced to settle for a 10-round draw against Nahir Albright in a fight that exposed cracks in his rebuild at 140 pounds. The judges scored it 95-95 across the board, leaving Martin without the statement win he needed and giving Albright proof he belongs at this level.

Martin began sharply, using his jab and straight left to control range and counter Albright’s pressure. He hurt Albright in the fifth and appeared in control through the middle rounds, landing clean shots while circling and keeping exchanges measured. After seven rounds, Martin looked to be ahead on most unofficial cards.

Albright kept coming in the second half, targeting Martin’s body and forcing exchanges at close range. By rounds eight and nine, he was landing the heavier shots and pushing Martin backward.

By rounds eight and nine, the fight had shifted. Albright’s hooks and inside work slowed Martin and began closing the gap.

The 10th round turned chaotic. Albright hurt Martin early with a hard left hook that buckled his legs and sent him retreating. Martin clinched repeatedly and even wrestled Albright to the canvas to buy time.

As Albright poured on punches in search of a finish, his mouthpiece came loose twice during the flurry. The referee paused the action to have it reinserted, halting momentum just as Martin was in trouble. Those seconds mattered. Martin was given space to recover and survive to the final bell.

No knockdowns were scored, but the final round was decisive in tone. Many observers felt Albright had done enough late to steal the fight outright, and the mouthpiece interruptions quickly became the main talking point afterward.

Martin moves to 19-1-1 with 13 knockouts in a result that feels more like a setback than a step forward. Albright advances to 17-2-1 and leaves with credibility after pushing a favored contender to the edge. Martin stayed upright, but this was far from the performance expected of him at this stage.
