The first look at the new season of an I’m A Celebrity spin-off has been revealed as ITV teased that it’s ‘tougher than ever’.
Viewers got their last jungle fix in December, when Manchester streamer Angry Ginge, real Morgan Burtwistle name, was crowned the 25th season of the annual Ant and Dec series’ King of the Jungle.
In what marked one of the most entertaining series in years, Ginge managed to overcome Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read Wilson and former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, who finished in second and third place respectively, in the final.
The series will arguably be best remembered for Shona being romantically linked by fans to Manchester rapper Aitch. However, both parties insisted that their jungle bond was one of friendship.
Also competing in the series was the likes of Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, Loose Women’s Kelly Brook, Irish TV star Vogue Williams and Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s son Jack, who opened up about his late dad.
Thankfully, I’m A Celebrity South Africa is returning this year, meaning fans won’t have as long without the iconic series as normal. For those who haven’t seen it, it’s an all stars version of the programme featuring past contestants.

I’m a Celebrity… South Africa premiered back in 2023, featuring former campmates Amir Khan, Gillian McKeith, Joe Swash and Carol Vorderman.
Taking on brand new trials and challenges in the South African wilderness, Myleene Klass was ultimately crowned the winner and named the first ‘I’m A Celebrity… Legend’.
During the first episode of the new series of Britain’s Got Talent, which Ant and Dec also present, on Saturday night (February 21), a teaser clip played of the latest series of I’m A Celebrity All Stars’ second series.
The ad saw the Newcastle duo seated by the fire when Ant suddenly became scared by a sudden noise coming from the jungle. Ant asked: “What was that?”
Assured by Dec that it was ‘just a big cat’, Ant jumped out of his seat at the mention of a potential jungle animal. “A big cat?! No way,” Ant added.
The short clip concluded with Dec having to chase after him after his co-star when a second began to ring out.
Teasing what fans can expect, an ITV spokesperson stated: “Campmates have already proved that they can survive the Australian jungle, but this is I’m A Celebrity… on a whole new level, it’s where legends are made.
“The trials are tougher than ever and the stakes couldn’t be higher. With relentless twists and turns, the campmates will never know what’s coming next.
“They will be faced with challenges at every turn, quickly learning that with big decisions come even bigger consequences.”
It was previously revealed that the public will have the power to decide who is crowned the ultimate legend 2026. Additionally, viewers will be able to have their say and cast the final vote in a live grand final broadcast direct from London.
Addressing being back on the programme, Ant noted last year: “The campmates really brought their A-game to the first series so we can’t wait to be back for more trials, challenges and surprises amongst the beautiful South African landscape.”
Dec added: “Having a live final is an exciting addition to the new series with the viewers choosing their IAC Legend and we’ve heard some of the new trials are truly epic, even by I’m A Celeb… standards!”
