Drivers on a major motorway are facing long delays as all lanes have been closed in both directions along the M25 between J28 (Brentwood) and J27 (M11).
The crash, which occurred anti-clockwise, has resulted in extensive barrier damage and has also taken out a power line which requires immediate attendance by engineers across both carriageways to make safe. The collision involved two lorries.
One of the lorries involved in the collision has come to rest down the nearside embankment. 14 properties in the area are without power as a result of the crash on the anticlockwise carriageway.
There are severe delays of an hour. Emergency crews, including Essex Police, have raced to the scene after the crash.
