There was a new twist and a mystery character on Coronation Street on Tuesday.
Jodie Ramsey was caught out by someone named Olivia, forcing her to cover her tracks. Spoilers had teased the moment fans would see Jodie being followed, before Olivia would reveal herself.
On Tuesday she asked Jodie why she disappeared so abruptly, dropping major hints about their link to each other. It could well mean that there’s another big secret at play, with so much to be revealed about Jodie’s past.
Fans know that she debuted on the soap in January after seemingly being kidnapped by Emmerdale’s Graham Foster. The fact that new girl Olivia has only recently started searching for Jodie could spell out a timeline of when Jodie fled, and what might have happened.

The girl made comments about Jodie being a babysitter or looking after her and her sibling. She shared her confusion that she upped and left one day, despite claiming Olivia and her sibling were the best children she’d looked after.
So something made her flee without warning. It seems Olivia’s parents may know the truth and have kept it from their children, as Jodie said something interesting.
After faking a story about being in witness protection, Jodie made it clear to Olivia that she couldn’t tell anyone, especially her mum and dad, where she was. So do the parents know what sparked Jodie’s exit and are they after her?

It would seem that Jodie fled so soon and not long ago, that perhaps she left after being kidnapped by Graham. Knowing Graham’s claims that he did the work that the police wouldn’t do, did he target Jodie because of something she did to Olivia’s family?
The comments certainly suggest she had to leave the family and her job and flee the area, perhaps after being caught out for something or she was almost found out. Then the whole Graham thing happened, leading to her heading to Weatherfield.
So what we know is that Jodie, who is hiding mystery items belonging to other people in a trinket box, was caring for Olivia and her sister. She fled out of nowhere with no explanation, and now Jodie doesn’t want Olivia’s parents to know where she really is.
Perhaps if they know her location, they can alert the police or worse, Graham. It does seem whatever she did before the Graham drama is very much tied into her being in hiding.
