Tag Heuer often releases special editions of its smartwatches, and its first for the Calibre E5 family is the most logical partnership yet, as it’s with Formula One.
Based on the 45mm Titanium version of the Connected Calibre E5, Tag Heuer has gone all-out to put the excitement of the 2026 F1 season on your wrist.

The case is made from Grade 2 Titanium and has been brushed and sandblasted, then given a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating for a unique finish.
The bezel has markings to show the phases of a race weekend, from Free Practice sessions to qualifying sessions, and finally the race start.
Two different straps are included with the smartwatch. A black leather strap has a rubber underside and a carbon-like pattern along the edges, while the second is one of Tag Heuer’s latest textile straps for comfort and 24-hour wear.
Software for F1 fans

The smartwatch uses Tag Heuer’s own Tag Heuer OS software, which has been customized with special F1-inspired icons and sounds, along with cool-sounding notification alerts that mimic pit crew radio messages.
The software makes use of the special bezel, with animated indicators showing race weekend status and activity. A special watch face, called Race Track, shows a representation of the race track for the current race, and changes as the season progresses.
Owners also gain access to an exclusive app. Called The Formula One, it shows the F1 race calendar, results, timings, and championship information. It includes a widget for the smartwatch, so all the information fans could want is never far away.
Tag Heuer and F1
Tag Heuer has a long and illustrious relationship with all forms of motor racing, from its iconic Monaco watch famously worn by Steve McQueen in the 1971 movie Le Mans, to the long-running Formula One model.
In a significant step last year, Tag Heuer became the official timing partner for Formula One, taking over from Rolex, and its branding and timing gear can be seen at every race.
It makes sense for the watchmaker to release a special edition of its latest smartwatch to celebrate this, and it’s great to see such a detailed model with plenty of design elements for fans to enjoy.
The Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E5 x Formula One will be available from March 3. The price has not been revealed at the time of writing, but expect it to be around $2,550.
