Salisbury Showdown 2 will take place on Saturday, February 28, at the City Hall from 5 pm to 11 pm.

The event is being put on by Tank Promotions, which is run by Swindon man Rich Loveday, and will feature 10 fighters from around Salisbury, including many from Impact MMA in Salisbury.

In one of the big main events, Impact MMA fighter and Salisbury local, Haydyn Waters, will fight for the Bantamweight Title Eliminator.

In the other main event, and making his return to the Showdown event, Joe Dunne will fight for the Novice Cruiserweight Title.

Promoter Rich said: ” This is a huge fight. Joe stopped his opponent in his last fight, and his opponent this time around did the same, so it is likely we won’t see the final bell in this one. They are both big punchers.”

Also making his return to the show is fan favourite Mike Pyman from Impact MMA, who suffered a shock defeat last time out.

Rich said: “These two youngsters are real talents, they are ones to watch for the future definitely, and they should be good fights this weekend.”

Finally, representing the woman is Angela Collins, who is also the captain of Saisbury FC Women’s team.

Rich said: “Angela will be swapping her football boots for boxing gloves, and I must say she is looking really good. I am excited to see her fight.”

Promoter, Rich, has been running his business, Tank Promotions, for 11 years and before that, he was a boxer himself.

He said, “The last event was a huge success, and we are back bigger and better this time. It is almost sold out, but we have a limited selection of tickets on the door if people still want to come.

“We will be back in Salisbury on June 20, and it will be bigger again, so mark your diaries.”
