Eberhard Forcher, who has acted as a scout for ORF for the Eurovision Song Contest, has ended his role after 10 years.

Having helped the Austrian broadcaster ORF find its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest for a decade, Eberhard Forcher has announced that he has now ended this role. Eberhard has been working in the Austrian music industry for decades and helped find and encourage artists to apply for the Austrian selections for the Eurovision Song Contest, both televised and internal.

During his time as a scout, Eberhard has helped Austria select artists who have qualified for the final in six out of nine contests, and most recently won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025. During this time, ORF has appeared to take greater risks with the contest with a variety of genres and artists taking to the stage during the past decade.

Cosmó will represent Austria on home soil this May having won Vienna Calling – Wer singt für Österreich? with “Tanzschein” (Dance license). He will perform in the Grand Final on May 16.
