Attention all Hollyoaks fans – you’re in luck! If you have ever wanted to take part in a set tour of the Channel 4 soap but have never had the opportunity to do so, then you’ll want to read more about this.

Following on from the first batch of tours that were announced in October as part of the soap’s 30th anniversary, production company Lime Pictures has confirmed that the set in Liverpool will be opening its doors in the spring and summer for another round.

According to the soap’s official Instagram page, the set will be open on select weekends from 21 March onwards, with tickets going on sale on Tuesday 3 March at 12pm. In the caption, the account teased that more details are to come.

The comment section was filled with plenty of enthusiastic fans, with one writing: “So excited! If anyone is debating whether or not to go just do it I honestly had the absolute best time back in October.”

“I went in October last year best experience ever it was rainy but didn’t stop us,” added another jubilant fan, while a third commented: “Ahhhh yes I’d love to do this again! I had the best time In November.”

“Can’t wait! Honestly the best experience ever and so excited to go back!!” wrote another expectant viewer, while a fifth noted: “Omg defo wanna do it again as it was the best experience ever.”

While fans will soon get a chance to go behind the scenes, there is still plenty of drama happening on-screen in Cheshire, with beloved character John Paul McQueen leaving the village for a life in Switzerland with his son, Matthew-Jesus.

His exit represents the third occasion that actor James Sutton has departed, and the actor recently shared that he has decided to make good use of his extra time following the end of his seven-year stint.

“I accepted the situation for what it was, and thought I’m going to use it in the most positive way I can,” said Sutton, who debuted as John Paul in 2006 before coming back to the soap in 2012 and 2019.

“I started writing again, launched my own platform and realised just how much I missed being creative and of service to other people. I’m now genuinely in the best place I’ve ever been in my entire adult life.”

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
