He continued: “It’s pretty crazy in Peru because people there speak Spanish and they don’t always know what the words mean, but there’s just something in the sound and the way they sing which makes the music connect.”

Arriving at the birthplace of the Beatles was surreal, the band said.

“We’ve seen all these streets on video online, but being here is just great because you can feel the energy, even after all these years,” said Jose.

When asked what it would mean for the group to perform at the Cavern Club, they said “they would pass out”.

“They should get a very good reception,” Keats said.

“I looked at them, listened to some of their stuff online and thought they’re young, they look great, so let’s make this dream happen.”
