Ghana Police Service has arrested Kumawood actress and entrepreneur Patricia Osei Boateng following explosive allegations that she served as an informant for her late husband’s armed robbery gang.

According to a report by Crime Check Foundation on February 27, 2026, the actress is currently being held at the CID Headquarters in Accra.

Investigators are probing claims that she used her social status to date influential men “big men,” only to leak their private information and movements to her husband, a robbery gang leader.

The case against the actress suggests a calculated “honey trap” operation.

Reports indicate that Boateng allegedly targeted high-net-worth individuals, gaining their trust and access to their homes or schedules.

This intelligence was then reportedly passed to her husband, identified as Eric Duku, who would orchestrate targeted attacks on the victims.

Further details emerged following the death of Duku, who was recently killed in a shootout with police during a botched robbery.

Investigators allege that Patricia did more than just provide information; she actively helped Duku evade capture.

It is alleged she helped Duku pose as a nurse to bypass police checkpoints.

The actress’ arrest is also linked to the high-profile robbery and murder of Andrews Amankwa, who was fatally shot at Ohwim Tigo Junction in Kumasi.

Amankwa was the father-in-law of the CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (GOLDBOD), Sammy Gyamfi. Following the arrest of four suspects in that case, the trail reportedly led straight to the actress.

While Patricia Osei Boateng is said to be cooperating with investigators, the news has sent shockwaves through the Ghanaian film industry.

Public reaction has been a mix of disbelief and anger, with many questioning how a successful actress could be embroiled in such a violent criminal network.

Police have stated that the investigation is “digging deeper” to identify other high-ranking individuals who may have been victims or accomplices in the ring.
