It’s going to be fab-u-lous! Strictly Come Dancing’s “Mr Nasty” Craig Revel Horwood is hot-footing it to Plymouth – and he’s going to sing.
The 61-year-old hoofer will bring his one-man show to Plymouth’s Quad Theatre, at the Plymouth Marjon University campus, on Saturday, May 9.
A day earlier he will be at Launceston Town Hall. Both shows are part of his 50-date Songs Boys Don’t Sing national tour.
The shows follow a successful run last spring and this year kicks off on April 22 and ends on June 28.
The show is one of dozens being staged in Plymouth, and elsewhere in Devon and Cornwall, by city-based promoters Comical Entertainment.
The team of James Maunder and Andrew Smallridge are also bringing “punk high priestess” Toyah to the city on March 28 and have booked other singers and a catalogue of top comic talent .
Mr Maunder said: “Craig needs little introduction. The longest-serving judge on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing is the master of the Glitter Ball.
“After starting as a dancer, he worked on the nation’s biggest musicals and became a choreographer, director, and best-selling author.
“Craig’s also a remarkable singer, and to celebrate the release of his debut solo album, Revelations, he’ll reveal his own, hidden talent during a fab-u-lous night of big songs, tall tales, and glamour.
Revel Horwood said: “The first run of this tour was such fun; there were songs, dance, plenty of Strictly sass. It was also full of surprises, and I can’t wait to make it just as fab-u-lous next time.”
