Photographers in the club were asked to submit photographs for the theme ‘Winter Textures’.
From flooded plains to snow-topped planes, the members got creative to show us the beautiful textures the winter brings.
In no particular order, here are our favourites:
This snow-covered aircraft was photographed outside the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection at Old Sarum Airfield by Rich Safe
Tracey Crowley photographed the textures on a gravestone after a ‘beautiful’ walk to church
Claire Penny made the most of the recent flooding and captured a beautiful photo as the bubbles made textures in the water
Jo Bourne photographed the beautiful textures of the clouds on this starry night over Stonehenge
Craig Harris saw the swirling textures crystallised in the ice on this path
A classic wintery photo showing the textures on a frosty leaf was taken by Tracey Crowley
Ali Blackwell’s beautiful photo shows the soft textures of the flooded Town Path
Juliet Mosney’s beautiful photo captures the textures of the rippling waters in front of the cathedral
A rare, sunny winter scene in the New Forest was photographed by Hang Ross, showing textures on the water and the leaves of the trees
Jeanne Rushby’s photo shows the textured feathers of a beautiful swan
Mark Warner captured a black and white photo of the low winter sun turning the flooded Town Path and Watermeadows into ‘a sea of silver’
Tanya Louise photographed the Cathedral through the textured coppiced willows along the Town Path
The textures created by this tree and the birds sitting in it were captured by Matt Nash
Rich Safe took his lovely photo showing the textures created by the trees looking towards Stratford Road from St Lawrence’s Church
