Polar’s Ignite 3 smartwatch is receiving an update
Polar is rolling out a new update, firmware version 5.1.3, to one of its smartwatches. The February 2026 release is said to improve the battery performance of the wearable. Plus, users of the Ignite 3 also get a speed-related bug fix and other minor changes with this stable update.
The Polar Ignite 3 smartwatch is receiving an update. Firmware version 5.1.3 is the second release for the wearable to land this year. It follows the major upgrade to Polar OS 5, which brought new alarm features, extra widgets and a summary view in pause mode.
With firmware version 5.1.3, the Polar Ignite 3 is said to get battery performance-related improvements. Unfortunately, the company does not explain in detail, nor quantify the benefit, of this change. The second line in the release notes states that Polar has fixed an issue experienced by Ignite 3 users with the speed unit set to min/km. A bug which caused the speed metrics to be displayed incorrectly in the training summary and pause mode has been resolved. On top of this, the update is said to bring other minor updates and bug fixes, though these are not listed. You can view the complete release notes below.
Firmware version 5.1.3 is now available for all users of the Polar Ignite 3 smartwatch (curr. $319.93 at Amazon). Users can update their wearable either through the Flow mobile app or by connecting the device to FlowSync on a computer.
