Fans of Coronation Street think that villain Jodie Ramsey is hiding two big secrets.

While a bizarre theory suggests she isn’t the real Jodie and isn’t the sister of Shona Platt after all, a second theory is that she may be a killer. Fans had already questioned whether Jodie was a murderer after spotting her mystery trinket box.

Now, a recent witness protection lie has only made fans think more that she is a killer, and may have a victim. This victim may have been rumbled after a story about a stabbing shared by Jodie.

We saw Jodie claiming she was forced to flee recently from a family she had been working for. She told a young girl named Olivia that she left the family as she witnessed someone dying in a knife attack, and she had to go into hiding.

Fans realised straight away that she was making the story up, likely covering up the real reason she fled. Now, the theory is that she is the person that killed the victim, and she had to flee.

Given she has a box containing several items that belong to others, fans are wondering they are trophies from potential victims. One fan said on social media: “I think she said she’s in witness protection for witnessing a murder. I don’t think she was the witness I reckon she did it.”

Another viewer agreed: “I saw a theory somewhere that she might be a killer and that witness protection story she gave to the young girl was a lie, and she didn’t witness a murder. The theory was that she fled because she killed the person who was stabbed to death, and she wasn’t just a witness.

“I do think the box of things is like trophies so I’m starting to wonder if this theory could be right, and she fled after claiming a victim and maybe the items belong to other victims, not all dead though.”

It comes amid the other theory fans are questioning, about whether Jodie is the real Jodie Ramsey. Despite Shona clearly recognising her sister straight away when they reunited in January, fans noted that Shona had not seen her since she was 13, and Jodie was around six.

So could Jodie be an imposter, and not the real sister of Shona? One fan said: “I said that she wasn’t Shona’s sister,” as another added: “Jodie isn’t Shona’s sister.”

A third fan posted: “She ain’t Shona’s sister, that’s what I reckon. I could be wrong.” A further post read: “Could she be impersonating Shona’s sister? Didn’t Shona leave when she was a kid?”
