Lucas Hay’s life is in danger as a prison fight breaks out (Picture: Lime Pictures)
The wellbeing of Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) is the subject of much concern in Hollyoaks next week when the young chef fails to respond to a devastated Dillon Ray’s (Nathaniel Dass) pleas after a fight breaks out in prison.
Lucas is behind bars for taking dad Ste (Kieron Richardson) hostage after discovering that his father had slept with his one true love Dillon behind his back.
Ste, who had been subjected to Lucas’ violence for months, made it quite clear that he couldn’t face his son following his arrest, despite pleas from Dillon, who has been visiting his former flame in jail.
The visiting room – and a number of trips down memory lane – reignited the sparks between Dillon and Lucas, so much so that Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) notices that the former has a spring in his step this week.
Despite claiming to have totally fallen out of love with Lucas, it seems the feelings have been reawakened for Dillon, who is showing no signs of stopping visiting his ex.

Diane attempts to get through the day after being diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer. She attends a yoga class at school, and as she catches up with Leela and Nancy, she casually mentions that she has been diagnosed with cancer, leaving her friends in shock.

Heartbreaking scenes ahead for Diane and Tony (Picture: Lime Pictures)
Tony returns home with Dom but he sends his brother home when he locates his wife’s prognosis letter. When Diane arrives back, she confirms the prognosis and they’re both utterly devastated.
Tony is determined to get a second opinion while Nancy informs Darren. As Mother’s Day approaches, Dee Dee makes jabs at her mum, unaware of what she’s going through.
Elsewhere, Mercedes tries to find Jake (aka Jenson) on social media and later arranges a romantic meal with Warren, who fails to show. Froggy, meanwhile, advises Rex to buy a dress and experiment.
And Lucas seems to have turned over a new leaf too, with prison having allowed him time to think things through as he demonstrates no ill will towards Ste or Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) when he learns of their wedding plans.
Dillon, meanwhile, finds out about Donny Clark’s (Louis Emerick) ordeal in upcoming scenes and next week he confides in Lucas during another visit.
Lucas proves supportive and later meets with James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan), asking him for a favour. He wants a phone.

And a phone he gets, with subsequent scenes seeing him call Dillon from prison – and they fall asleep on the phone together.
The happiness is short-lived, however, as later in the week during another phone call, Dillon can hear a fight take place in prison – and Lucas doesn’t respond to him in the aftermath.
The question is: will Lucas be okay? And just what has transpired? That remains to be seen but afterwards, there is danger for Lucas as he gets a shock new cellmate.
Back in the village, Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) and Vicky speak to Dillon about their concerns over him rekindling his relationship with Lucas. But just how will he respond?
