If you’re in a rush and need some last-minute Fantasy Premier League (FPL) advice, here’s a quick round-up of what you need to know about Gameweek 29.

WHEN’S THE FPL GAMEWEEK 29 DEADLINE?

There’s barely time to catch breath from the weekend, because FPL has a very quick turnaround. All transfers and team selections need to be done by 18:00 GMT on Tuesday 3 March.

WILL HAALAND, RICE + WILSON PLAY?FPL notes: Pep on benche Haaland + Foden

This doesn’t leave long to mull over the Winter Olympics-style flag ceremony that suddenly has lots of popular names labelled as injury doubts.

Erling Haaland (£14.7m) missed Manchester City’s win at Leeds United, an occasion where Nico O’Reilly (£5.1m) hurt his ankle. The same body part forced attacker Harry Wilson (£6.0m) off, soon after Fulham teammate Joachim Andersen (£4.5m) was declared too ill to take part.

Then, when Arsenal faced Chelsea, Declan Rice (£7.5m) was removed due to discomfort after 75 minutes.

Unfortunately, Tuesday’s press conferences brought mixed helpfulness from managers.

“[Haaland] feels much better but yesterday we didn’t train. Now we have training, we will decide today.

“The same [for O’Reilly], we’ll decide after training.” – Man City’s Pep Guardiola

“Joachim Andersen will be back in 100% sure. Harry Wilson is one of the players we have to keep assessing. Let’s see.” – Fulham’s Marco Silva

“I hope so. He was much better today. Obviously, we haven’t really trained because we have only two days to prepare the game. Hopefully, he’s going to be better tomorrow.” – Mikel Arteta on whether Arsenal’s Declan Rice is “okay”

WHO TO BUYFPL Gameweek 28: Saturday’s goals, assists, bonus + ‘DefCon’ points

Several of these doubts are in ‘The Great and the Good’ template squad, where six of the 18 individuals were able to buy Virgil van Dijk (£6.1m) in time for his latest attacking return.

The same match saw Hugo Ekitike (£9.1m) finally haul, yet the Frenchman still makes our Goals Imminent table, alongside fellow forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.7m). Both could be good Haaland replacements.

In fact, Liverpool players make sense in all positions. The reigning champions are highly backed for a clean sheet and attacking returns versus Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Meanwhile, a timely fixture frisk article also points out the favourable runs awaiting Brentford and Fulham.
