Hull FC loose-forward James Bell.
John Cartwright has named his 21-man Hull FC squad ahead of Thursday’s Super League fixture at Wakefield Trinity.
The Black and Whites boss has named James Bell in the squad for the first time, with the loose-forward now in contention to make his Hull debut in West Yorkshire. Bell is joined by Ligi Sao, who returns to the fold after a two-match suspension, and Logan Moy, who made his first appearance of the season for the club’s reserves last week. Moy is another full-back option along with Davy Litten, who played the position against York Knights last week.
The trio replace Harvey Barron and Jed Cartwright, who are still awaiting scan results on ankle and hamstring injuries, and Liam Knight, who was mutually released from the club on compassionate grounds over the weekend.
Elsewhere, Aidan Sezer is named and will be given every chance to feature after vision complaints following a poke in the eye against York last week. Tom Briscoe is also named, with Hull set for an edge reshuffle after last week’s injury blows.
Joining Barron and Cartwright on the treatment table are Will Pryce (ACL), Herman Ese’ese (Achilles), Joe Batchelor (calf), Ryan Westerman (foot), Joe Ward (ACL), and Roman Dawson (ACL). Joe Phillips is fit again after a pre-season leg injury and played for the reserves last week.
