Connor ‘Sully’ Sullivan may finally face his downfall on Hollyoaks after Donny Clark broke his silence. With the latter having provided evidence of Sully’s crimes, could the villain be locked away for good?

In an issue-based storyline, Sully raped Donny last year, which led the latter to be consumed by grief. For a long time, only Dodger Savage knew what had happened to Donny, but Donny elected to keep quiet.

After months of strife, Donny has been distant from his family and loved ones, but has also been reluctant to assist Dodger – who was raped by Griff Farnedge – in attempting to bring Sully down.

The main fear was that he and Dodger wouldn’t be believed by the police force, but the pair were given a lifeline after Gemma handed him a USB drive which contained footage of the horrifying incident.

Today’s episode of the Channel 4 soap saw Donny pass out in the village as he was reminded of the situation. Dodger, meanwhile, headed to his misconduct hearing, which had come about after Sully threatened his family.

Dodger recalled the traumatic events, while Sully lied through his teeth as he attempted to get away with his crimes. Gemma and Misbah, meanwhile, eventually found Donny down an alleyway as he was passed out.

A compassionate Misbah said she knew what Donny had been through, and he cried in her arms as he felt the support of his loved ones. He subsequently headed to support Dodger in his hearing, with his colleague being evidently emotional.

After describing Dodger as a “good man” and an “outstanding officer”, Donny exposed Sully for the despicable human that he was, labelling him “corrupt, immoral, vicious, predatory” and a “degenerate”.

He handed the USB drive to the staff, with Dodger being overwhelmed by emotion as he finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel. As Donny told the truth about Sully, the villain seemingly had nowhere to go as the walls closed in.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
