The cast of Married At First Sight UK’s tenth season reunited for a fiery reunion episode last week, but a number of its stars were notably absent.
Aired on Sunday night (March 1), the one-off special saw the group – nearly all of them now exes – sit down for one final dinner party together. Just one couple from the series, Abigail Lindsay and John Shepherd, remain an item today.
Among the missing stars was former groom Ashley Dommett and his ex-bride, Grace Law. The pair struggled to understand each other’s views and sense of humour on the show, leading to a series of rows and ultimately their separation.
The pair skipped taking part in home stays week – where the couples each spend time with the other’s friends and family – and failed to attend the final commitment ceremony. They were later brought back separately to offer their own points of view to the experts on what went wrong.

“Whenever I tried to speak about what was happening, I felt Ash was quick to deflect,” Grace revealed, referring to previous commitment ceremonies. “I lost my voice almost, I didn’t feel confident in what I was saying,” she continued.
On the other hand, Ashley alleged that Grace labelled him a “misogynistic, not great guy,” adding: “I felt like there’s not much more I can do here to get her to see who I am.”
Addressing his decision not to attend any of the reunion episodes, including the most recent, Ashley opened up to his followers in a lengthy video posted to Instagram last night (March 3). He revealed that while things had initially been “civil” between he and Grace, he felt he had later been painted to be a “monster”.
“The first reunion isn’t long after the show, so after dealing with that I was like no, no way. And our story had ended there anyway so there was nothing to add. I genuinely only went on there to meet my person, didn’t. Didn’t see any benefits in doing the reunion,” he said.

“The second reunion.. I don’t know if I should say this, but I’m going to anyway. Have I changed as a person? Is it because I’ve been on telly that I think I’m important, or was that reunion f*****g awful without me?
“But yeah, so with the way that everything had gone, my view on it was why on earth would I put myself back into that situation and I just wouldn’t. There was no way I was doing it. That’s basically it.”
His followers were quick to share their messages of support, including former MAFS UK star Hannah Norburn who commented: “Proud of you.” Meanwhile another show fan remarked: “I found the reunion stressful to watch, never mind being there! I hope you’re feeling a bit more distanced from the drama of it all now.”
