Crystal Palace

A final word from Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner on the future of Evann Guessand:

“It’s the club’s decision. I was talking to him in the summer and we were highly interested in him but he picked Aston Villa.

“Now he’s here, he’s had a good start. He is always able to create something but on the other hand he still has to learn our structure.

“He didn’t play so many minutes at Villa, that’s why I rested him at Old Trafford because he had 90 minutes for many weeks against Mostar.

“He’s a good player, one that can score and assist, and giving something special – doing things that no one expects.”

And on whether there is a goal contributions clause in his contract which would trigger Palace’s obligation to buy:

“I never talk about details in player contracts so I can’t talk about it so no comment.”
