International teammate Estevao Willian, who missed the game as he continues his recovery from injury, commented: “This is Joao Pedro. You already know the rest.”

Cole Palmer also praised Pedro after he returned to the scoresheet himself, with Reece James and Marc Cucurella also showing their admiration.

Palmer has been full of praise for Pedro all season, saying how much he enjoys playing alongside the striker since his move to the club from Brighton.
