The fly-tip was found by a dog walker heading down Old Watling Street – between Markyate and Flamstead – yesterday afternoon (March 3).
An image from the scene shows a significant amount of agricultural waste strewn across the road, in addition to sharp metal and glass.
Dacorum Borough Council told The Herts Advertiser it is aware of the fly-tip and it will be investigated and actioned “as soon as possible”.
“Our target is to inspect within three workings days and remove within a further seven days however we endeavour to carry out these actions more quickly wherever possible,” a spokesperson added.
