Sharon and Jack Osbourne have offered more details on the plan to relaunch Ozzfest in 2027. The metal fest will kick off with a two-day event in the late Ozzy Osbourne’s hometown of Birmingham, England, and “then come to America.”
The plans were discussed as part of the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast. After both Sharon and Jack announced that the festival is coming back, Sharon divulged, “We wanna do two days in Aston Villa [in Birmingham] and then come to America. And we wanna hear from everyone where we should go in America. And also we’ve gotta find a lot of young, new talent, because that’s what [Ozzy] would want.”
Jack then chimed in, “That’s what Ozzfest was all about. That second stage, that was the incubator — that’s where so many [bands] came out of.”
Later on, Jack clarified, “So, Ozzfest 2027, there’ll be two days at [Aston] Villa, and then two days in North America somewhere,” with Sharon adding, “Yeah, and then we’ll see how it does. And then if people want it, we’ll be there [in the] following years.”

While it won’t be a touring festival in 2027, Sharon noted that it’s possible that beginning in 2028, Ozzfest may return to being a traveling festival.
Reflecting on Ozzfest’s past, Sharon noted, “It was more fun. When you go to other festivals, everybody’s so uptight. But that was always the thing about our festival. There was never anybody jockeying for position or thought they were better than anyone else. It was a summer camp.”
She also mentioned that she’d love to see Rob Halford at the upcoming Ozzfests, perhaps hinting that Judas Priest could be taking part.
The conversation comes after Sharon and Ozzfest’s social media channels recently confirmed the festival’s return in 2027. Watch Sharon and Jack discuss the festival in the video below.
