A 19-year-old man has been taken to hospital with life-changing injuries after a “targeted” shooting in a street.
It happened at about 15:20 GMT on Beswicke Royds Street, Rochdale, when officers found the injured man with a gunshot wound to his leg, Greater Manchester Police said.
The man was taken to hospital “with injuries described as life-changing but not believed to be life-threatening at this time”, the force added.
Supt Lucy Smallwood, said: “It is believed this was a targeted attack and there is no wider threat to the public.”
