It was a rather surprising turn of events when it was announced that LEGO Horizon Adventures was destined for the Nintendo Switch. Most people assumed that Sony thought that the game would be a good fit for the Nintendo Switch console. Fast Forward to today and KiwiTalkz has stated on X that it was the LEGO Group who mandated that the game should come to the Nintendo Switch, rather than the other way round. He went on to say that Sony continues to view Nintendo as direct competition.
Lego Horizon only released on Switch because it was mandated by the Lego Group
No it’s not an educated guess, it’s info I know. Sony views Nintendo as direct competition.
