Clarkson’s Farm favourite Kaleb Cooper has revealed details of a distressing health ordeal, pleading with supporters for advice whilst admitting he’s experiencing unprecedented levels of discomfort.

Kaleb, 27, who works as the farm hand alongside Jeremy Clarkson, turned to Instagram to disclose that he’d been battling a viral infection, explaining he’d been enduring ‘pins and needles’ throughout his entire body.

Filming from inside his tractor, the Prime Video personality confessed: “I’ve never been in so much pain in my life. I don’t know how I’m saying this but I’m 27 years old and I’ve got shingles. It is so painful.”

“I thought only old people get that and no disrespect if you’ve got it and you’re maybe old. Honestly, it’s like pins and needles continually in your body.”

He went on to explain how the ailment ‘hurts like a…’ before catching himself from cursing due to the agony. Kaleb subsequently appealed to his supporters: “How do I get rid of it? Can I take a tablet to get rid of it really quickly or something?”

Shingles is a viral condition from the same group of viruses responsible for chickenpox, and whilst there’s no definitive cure, it can be treated with antiviral medicines.

This comes after Caleb shared an update with his fans in November 2025, from Australia following the news he will be filming a new farming series for Prime Video. Kaleb: Down Under, which has received the green light for a four-part series, will follow the farmer as he “embarks on his first solo trip to one of the world’s biggest farming markets”.

Taking to Instagram, Kaleb posted a rather cheeky clip on his story about a rather rude-sounding location in Queensland, Australia. Speaking to the camera from his car as The Killers’ Mr Brightside played, Kaleb said: “Just driven through a place called Bald Knob…”

Pausing to suppress a laugh, he continued to tell his three million followers: “In Australia. Lovely place. It’s a mountain; no trees, nothing on the top.” Bald Knob is a rural locality in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, with a reported population of fewer than 300 people, according to the 2021 census, reports the Express.

Prime Video announced he would be spearheading his own programme delving into farming ‘on a massive scale’. The farming contractor with a self-declared ‘borderline unhealthy obsession with Chipping Norton’ finds himself continents away from Diddly Squat in the upcoming programme, which has started production.

He previously revealed about the fresh venture: “I spend most of my time with the most travelled man in the world, so I got brave and booked my first ever flight to see what all the fuss was about. Australia here I come! And Australia, you’ll be gaining a new farmer for a couple of months as I discover if I can make my farming contracting business go international.”

Despite his fresh solo venture, Prime Video has confirmed Kaleb will still return for Clarkson’s Farm season 5 next year. Prime Video’s description for Kaleb: Down Under states: “With aspirations to grow his business, Kaleb will experience farming at a scale he’s never encountered before -stretching thousands of acres across Australia’s vast landscape.

“Throughout his journey, Kaleb will meet his Australian peers and immerse himself in the local culture while exploring how farmers operate in this challenging environment. Viewers will see Kaleb taking on new challenges that are a world away from his familiar routines in Chipping Norton. And it’s no holiday-Kaleb won’t shy away from the gritty realities of farm work while he’s out there-blisters, burns, backaches and all.”
