Midfielder and captain Kevin Mfuamba tried his luck from range but couldn’t beat the Ipswich ‘keeper, before recent absentees Bray and Matt Crowther into the fray,

But it was Mandey who doubled the visiting advantage with just over 20 minutes to play. As Mfuamba looked to open up the Town defence, the ball dropped kindly for the Albion midfielder to slot home and notch his 10th goal of the season in all competitions.

Forward Bray added further shine to the visitors’ scoreline in additional time. Mfuamba, once again the architect, as he lofted a searching pass over the Ipswich back-line, leaving the 19-year-old a simple finish to cap off a well-earned PL2 victory in Colchester.
