Senhit will represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the song “Superstar” featuring Boy George.

San Marino’s national selection show, San Marino Song Contest, culminated tonight with X taking the grand prize and the right to represent the nation at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna this May. Senhit performed the song “Superstar,” which featured a section with British artist Boy George. While Boy George did not make a live appearance onstage, he featured prominently in the performance’s background graphics.

The San Marino Song Contest grand final comprised 21 competing acts: 10 acts that qualified from the semifinals, 10 “Big Artists” who automatically qualified, and 1 Sammarinese automatic qualifier. After all the songs were performed and special awards announced, the Top 5 were revealed, listed below in bold. Here is the list of all of tonight’s acts with their corresponding awards:

Senhit has represented San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest three times before: in 2011 with the song “Stand By,” in the cancelled 2020 edition with “Freaky!” and in 2021 with “Adrenalina,” which featured American rapper Flo Rida.

The winner was be determined by a five-member jury. The jurors were:

For the first time, there was also be a Quality Jury that will also assess the participants but will not contribute to determining the winner. The jurors were:

The Critics’ jury will also be voting during the shows and is formed of journalists and media professionals. They will award a separate prize to one of the participants. Its members were:

Al Bano – Musician and performer, has been a guest at the Sammarinese national final on multiple occasions and has previously represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest
Cristiano Malgioglio – Italian icon and writer

San Marino in the Eurovision Song Contest+

San Marino debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 alongside Azerbaijan. Miodio represented San Marino on their debut with the song “Complice”, and finished last in their semi-final with just 5 points. San Marino withdrew from the contest before returning again in 2011. Since then, the country has participated annually. San Marino first qualified for the final in 2014 and has gone on to qualify for the final on three further occasions, most recently in 2025.
