EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (5 August), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders’ Oscar Branning has made two big mistakes after an attack that has left Patrick Trueman in hospital.
This week, Oscar has grown desperate to get his dangerous enemy Mike the £5,000 he needs. Out of options, he decided to break into No.20 to steal the money that Patrick won gambling.
But Patrick arrived home and caught him, so in a panic Oscar pushed the Walford legend – and he fell to the floor unconscious.
Horrified Oscar tried to help the situation in today’s episode and used Patrick’s phone to call an ambulance for him before fleeing the scene.

Howie returned before Oscar could make a swift exit and found Patrick unresponsive. Oscar rushed out the house and Howie didn’t see his face – but he did spot the teen’s ankle tag.
Oscar snuck back home in time for his curfew, where Lauren told her brother that she had sold a car at work so had paid off Mike using the advance on her wages.
He was devastated to realise that Lauren had already solved his problem, so he had broken into Patrick’s house and left him for dead for no reason.

Meanwhile, Kim and Denise also came home and discovered what had happened, and were quick to alert Yolande about her fiancé’s condition.
The family rushed to the hospital where the doctors prepared to run tests on Patrick, as the severity of his condition remains up in the air.
As the Square reeled from this shocking attack, Lauren grew suspicious that Oscar was so concerned about how Patrick was doing.

Oscar put the stolen cash in an envelope that he labelled ‘sorry sis’ and left in the kitchen for Lauren to find. He then said an emotional goodbye to baby Jimmy as he prepared to leave Walford.
But Lauren came across the envelope and confronted her brother about Patrick’s attack. Will Oscar admit the truth?
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
