Dr Manmeet Kaur, based at Pengam Health Centre in Caerphilly, was nominated by the Wales Office to attend the event in recognition of her contribution to community wellbeing.
She said: “I felt truly honoured to attend and represent Wales.
“It was a proud moment connecting with inspiring people from across the country.
“It felt like a dream I never even dreamed – becoming a reality.”
Dr Kaur is a GP with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and also serves as health and wellbeing lead at Thriving Communities Community Interest Company.
Beyond her clinical work, she is a yoga, mindfulness, breath and meditation coach and delivers free sessions focused on calming the nervous system, reducing stress, and promoting balance.
She leads the Mind and Body Wellness Programme and promotes a preventative, patient-centred approach to care.
She gave thanks to the volunteers and partners at Thriving Communities and Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for their support in delivering wellbeing programmes across the region.
This recognition highlights the outstanding work and positive impact that colleagues within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board continue to make throughout Wales.
Dr Kaur’s approach combines traditional healthcare with holistic methods, aiming to improve quality of life through resilience, mindfulness and community support.
She regularly delivers wellbeing sessions across South Wales.
Her recent invitation to Downing Street marks another milestone in a career dedicated to improving the lives of others through both medical care and innovative community health initiatives.
