North Yorkshire Council has issued an update on the A684 Conyers Lane, Constable Burton, roadworks and it’s not good news.
Despite working longer hours and at weekends it has not been possible to make up the time lost due to the severe weather conditions in the Richmond area at the beginning of the year.
Unfortunately this means that the A684 at Conyers Lane, between Leyburn and Bedale, will not reopen until Wednesday 25 March.
The Council says that these roadworks are being treated as a priority, with continued longer hours and extra day working.
“We are sorry for the unavoidable further delay to this road closure and for any inconvenience this may cause.
“Whilst the closure is in place please follow the official, signed, diversion route and avoid using minor roads through villages.”
