Police were called to the property within a modern housing estate between Woodbridge Road and the cemetery, following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
Her death was initially described as “suspicious” before a murder investigation was launched a short while later.
The police said they believed it was an isolated incident and that Sone and Stevenson were known to each other.
Since then, a post-mortem examination has been carried out which determined her cause of death needed further investigation.
Floral tributes have also been left at the scene and a vigil will take place at Landseer Park, in Ipswich, on Saturday.
“Anyone who knew Karlie, or would like to come and show their respect, is welcome to join us to remember her, share stories, and honour her,” a social media post said.
