British band Echo and the Bunnymen have left fans fuming as they cancelled their Manchester gig just minutes before they were due on stage.

Formed in Liverpool in 1978, Echo and the Bunnymen are a seminal post-punk band featuring Ian McCulloch (vocals) and Will Sergeant (guitar). Renowned for 1980s hits like “The Killing Moon” and “Lips Like Sugar,” they blended dark, atmospheric rock with melodic psychedelia, influencing bands like Coldplay.

The venue shared a statement to Facebook which read: “Unfortunately, tonight’s Echo and the Bunnymen show has been postponed due to ill health amongst the band.
