Brooklyn Beckham has declared his ‘love’ for his mother-in-law while snubbing his own mum Victoria on Mother’s Day.
It’s now been two months since the eldest son of David and Victoria launched a brutal social media take-down of his parents, saying they ‘controlled’ him for most of his life and that he ‘did not want to reconcile’ with them after making the decision to cut them off.
Although his parents recently tried to extend a public olive branch when Brooklyn celebrated his 27th birthday, their social media posts were ignored, likely because he’s also blocked them.
However, as the UK marks Mother’s Day, he’s snubbed acknowledging his mum and has instead paid tribute to his wife Nicola Peltz’s mother.
On Saturday the actress, 31, posted a series of snaps to mark her model mum Claudia Heffner’s birthday.
Sharing photos of them standing in front of gold balloons spelling out ‘Mom’ and several huge bouquets of flowers, Nicola wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my mom! The pure fact that I get to call you mom makes me truly, the luckiest ever.

‘I’m so happy I got to spend your special day with you. U love celebrating you – your light is so bright you make everything better in this world. I love you more than you will ever understand. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true!’
Re-posting one of the photos that saw him pose with his wife and mother-in-law, Brooklyn captioned his own story: ‘Happy birthday to the best mother in law x Love you so much and hope u had the most amazing day <3.’
Claudia, 72, has been married to Nicola’s dad Nelson since 1985. During her career she modelled for brands including L’Oreal, Calvin Klein, Chanel, and Revlon, but retired to raise their eight children.
Nelson, 83, was ranked as the 432nd richest person in the United States in 2017. The businessman also notably previously helped organise political fundraisers for US President Donald Trump.
Although Brooklyn hasn’t acknowledged his mum today, David posted a sweet tribute to his wife of 27 years, with whom he also shares children Romeo, 22, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.
Posting an old black-and-white snap while Victoria was pregnant with one of their kids, he wrote: ‘Happy Mother’s Day to the most amazing mummy…you are an inspiration in all the ways a mum should be to our 4 amazing children. We love you so much and I’m so thankful for the family we have created 🩷 Have a special Mother’s Day because if there’s one person that deserves it it’s you 🩷 I love you 🩷 @victoriabeckham.’
On Brooklyn’s birthday on March 4, David posted two photos of his son. The first snap showed him and Victoria holding a then toddler Brooklyn in a pool, which he captioned: ‘27 Today. Happy birthday Bust <3. We love you x.’ Buster is Brooklyn’s nickname, with David also having a tattoo of the moniker on his neck alongside a love heart.
The second photo also showed him with a young Brooklyn as he posed with his son in a black-and-white snap.
Soon after David posted, Victoria also shared the same photo from the pool, writing: ‘Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much.’
She then shared a black and white photo holding him as a baby, captioning that story: ‘Happy 27th Birthday Brooklyn. I love you so much.’ She also added a series of love hearts to the post.
Earlier this year it was reported that Brooklyn had made moves to try and prevent his parents from contacting him via social media and had sent them a legal letter instructing them to get in touch through lawyers going forward and that they could not directly contact him.

In his bombshell statement shared on Instagram on January 19, Brooklyn began by writing: ‘I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.
‘I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.’
Brooklyn went on to slam the narrative that his wife ‘controls’ him. ‘I have been controlled by my parents for most my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief,’ he continued.
Wrapping up his post, Brooklyn said he and Nicola ‘did not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation’ and instead were seeking ‘peace, privacy, and happiness for us and our future family’.
