Ambitious Falkirk have sealed the homecoming of Craig Sibbald.
The Dundee United midfielder has agreed a pre-contract signing with the Bairns, with the 30-year-old set to return to his first senior club in the summer.
John McGlynn has tabled a three-year deal to land him.
Sibbald turned professional with Falkirk when he was 16 and spent the first seven years of his career there. His return would put him in line for testimonial.
Dundee United offered an extension and were keen to keep Sibbald.
A mix of family reasons and moving to a club where he spent such a long period of his career were too much of a pull.
McGlynn, who is on the verge of leading his newly-promoted side to a top six finish, feels his experience will help his young side.

Sibbald will leave United at the end of the season after four years at Tannadice.
He is currently out injured but is pushing to get back so he can finish at United on a high.
Sibbald moved from Livingston to United and helped them get back into the Premiership and also led them into Europe this season.
The player swept the boards in the player of the year awards at Dundee United back in the 2023-24 season.
United have already made a pre-contract signing of their own.
They have agreed a deal with Jesse Randall to sign the New Zealand international winger from Auckland FC.
They are also close to signed a similar deal with Lachlan Rose from Newcastle Jets.
