Carlisle‘s Kieron Sewell went head to head with Lewis Garside in a bantamweight fight at BKFC Fight Night Newcastle on Saturday.
The Currock fighter lost out on a points decision but both fighters earned praise for the quality of the five-round contest – with BKFC president David Feldman so impressed that he decided to double the fighters’ purses afterwards.
Many observers described it as the fight of the night at the Utilita Arena, with the victorious Garside predicting “big things” for Sewell in the sport.
