Chica Con Canna, a female rapper, has died at 37 from a heart attack following a lengthy battle with alcohol addiction

Tributes have flooded in for Chica Con Canna, a female rapper who has died at 37. The rapper collaborated with a number of stars including Tony Batrânu, Vladone, and Mike Diamondz in her short career before her sad death.
Her close friend Dana Marijauna paid tribute to the star with a heartbreaking statement. They wrote: “With tears in my eyes, with a fantastic love for Chica, who did not win the fight against alcohol.
“A girl with great talent, the best female voice and interpretation in English in the world of Romanian rap, soulful, generous, strong character. In vain, alcohol did not take into account all its countless qualities. We love you even in a billion years. We were supposed to record new songs, but we will do it without physical presence.”

Her friend Tonik Obiektiv also paid tribute on social media, writing: “Chica was and remains unique in her own way. Today we lost a valuable artist, a younger sister and a dear friend. Few understood it, many listened to it but too few appreciated it.”
The rapper – whose real name was Gianina Gheorghiu – will see her legacy live on as her friends have planned to release projects in her honour following her sad passing at just 37-years-old.

Tributes from fans have also flooded in for the rapper, who was a hit in Romania. One wrote: “Poor thing was young, I loved the way she sings,” as another added: “Our deepest condolences to the family!” Another said “Rest in paradise.”
“How very sad :(. May God rest her in peace!” another shared, with one writing: “Oh how sad is this! May God rest her in peace!” Another shared: “I really loved her music. May God rest her soul in peace. Condolences to the loved ones.” Another wrote: “Too soon G, too soon. May God watch over your soul and rest you in peace.”
A cause of death has not been confirmed but in Dana’s tribute, they said that Gianina battled with an alcohol addiction. Gianina was believed to have suffered a heart attack before her passing.
