Ethan Quinn wins the ATP Challenger 175 event in Phoenix, Arizona.

American Ethan Quinn secured his biggest career title Sunday at the Arizona Tennis Classic, an ATP Challenger 175 event in Phoenix. In an all-American final, the eighth seed downed Marcos Giron 7-6(1), 4-6, 7-5.
“It’s surreal,” Quinn said following his triumph, his second at ATP Challenger level and first since November 2024. “It’s not every day that you get to be in the final. I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve been in a final, getting to compete late in a tournament, so all the emotions are really high.”

Quinn, who won the 2023 NCAA singles title while representing the University of Georgia, is now on the verge of making his Top 50 debut. He is up 17 places to No. 56 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings.
“Getting a title and getting that confidence going into Miami, going into the clay season is going to be really nice,” said Quinn.
The California native was clutch under pressure, having won five of the six tie-breaks he played in Phoenix.
“Just to play big,” Quinn explained when asked about his tie-break strategy. “I did it a lot last year, I won a lot of breakers and it all came with being locked in early on and then once I got that early lead, playing big and going for my shots and trusting my training.”
Navone notches Cap Cana crown
Argentine Mariano Navone became the third player to win multiple Challenger 175-level titles, joining Ugo Humbert and Nuno Borges. The 25-year-old was crowned champion at the Republica Dominicana Open – Copa Cap Cana, where he defeated Mattia Bellucci 7-5, 6-4 in the final.
“Amazing week here in Cap Cana, amazing tournament,” said an ecstatic Navone. “Very happy to be champion and also hope all the best in the future for Miami. But now, we have to enjoy this week.”

Navone is a nine-time Challenger champion who in 2023 captured a season-leading five titles at that level. In 2024, he won the Challenger 175 event in Cagliari, Italy. Navone reached a career-high No. 29 in 2024, the same season in which he became the first player in the Open Era to be seeded in his first major main draw (Roland Garros).
Navone entered Cap Cana with a 2-7 season record across all levels, but found some of his best form to claim his first hard-court title.
