The deal was placed on hold after Newcastle rejected a third Sean Longstaff bid last week but a breakthrough has been made in recent days.

The latest regarding the fee is that it will now cost Leeds £15 million for Longstaff, including add-ons. Others have stated Longstaff could be confirmed before the weekend, with transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirming Longstaff’s medical with Leeds.

Longstaff is one of seven signings Leeds will make in the final two months of the summer. However, some fans are calling Longstaff Leeds’ best summer signing already before it’s even been completely finalised.
