Allegiant Stadium saw a new record crowd for the rugby league blockbuster in Sin City this year.

Super League clubs have now been officially invited to register their interest in joining the NRL’s Las Vegas extravaganza in 2027.

Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos were the latest teams to feature in the United States showcase, taking part in a triple-header at Allegiant Stadium. Around 12,000 English fans travelled to Sin City for the event, contributing to a total crowd of 45,719 – the highest attendance since the NRL brought the game to Las Vegas.

St Helens and Hull FC are currently viewed as frontrunners for next year’s event, although expressions of interest are open to all Super League clubs.

As reported by All Out Rugby League earlier this month, discussions are set to take place between the Rugby Football League and the NRL regarding the financial structure of the Las Vegas showpiece. At present, Super League clubs are required to fund their own trips to the United States, with one side also sacrificing a home fixture.

Super League once again demonstrated its value on the big stage, with supporters playing a major role in the atmosphere throughout the week – particularly during the popular Fremont Street event.

NRL officials are understood to have been impressed by Super League’s contribution, as were Australian broadcast rights holders.

Hull FC chief executive Richie Myler recently told All Out Rugby League that the club “would love to be a part” of Las Vegas. However, he stressed that any involvement must be financially viable and “100 per cent the right thing to do for the club.”

The NRL still has two years remaining on its original five-year agreement with the Las Vegas venue.

Looking ahead, Super League could be played across as many as five countries in 2027. Dublin is closing in on hosting a fixture between Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors – the first Super League sides to feature in the Las Vegas event.

Meanwhile, while Catalans Dragons are set to face Wigan in Paris later this year, the Perpignan-based club are also exploring the possibility of staging a home match at the redeveloped Nou Camp in the summer of 2027.

If plans come to fruition, Spain, France, Ireland, England and the United States could all host Super League matches during the 2027 season.
