Hull KR boss Willie Peters has rubbished rumours suggesting that Jack Broadbent could be looking for a move away from Craven Park.
Broadbent’s name cropped up in a Hull FC press conference last week when a question was put to John Cartwright about the possibility of signing the versatile back, who is contracted until the end of the 2027 season, due to him being unhappy with his current situation at KR.
It was a question that caught Cartwright by surprise and Peters was certainly shocked by it, too, with the Rovers head coach reaching out to the 25-year-old immediately to assess where such a notion may have come from.
Broadbent has been with KR since joining on an initial loan in 2024 and in that time he has made 49 appearances for the club and scored 28 tries. He hasn’t been a guaranteed starter, though, and he never featured in last year’s Grand Final or last month’s World Club Challenge.
However, he has played Rovers’ last three games and he’ll be starting at full-back this weekend when KR face Catalans Dragons in France in the continued absence of Arthur Mourgue. And, ahead of that contest, Peters has moved to nip any rumours about Broadbent’s future at the club in the bud.

“It’s one for Broady but I asked Jack if there was any truth to it,” Peters said when asked about Broadbent during his press conference on Wednesday morning. “Naturally you’re going to see that and want to talk to the player and find out.
“He was pretty shocked to be honest and wanted to find out who wrote it. I don’t want to speak for Jack, but it’s not true.
“Jack is playing full-back for us at the moment and doing a really good job. I was happy with his game at the weekend and he’s just had a really positive session.
“You’re going to get all sorts thrown around, especially with the injuries at the moment in terms of Super League and players needing other players to fill some spots, so there’s going to be a fair bit of that going around. As I say, I don’t want to speak on behalf of Jack but from my conversations it’s all positive.”
