Since opening to visitors in 2017, Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park serves as a hub for the local community, welcoming 20,000 visitors a year as well as hosting schools, young people and other local community groups for tours, talks and workshops!
The park itself is home to over 100 species of mammal, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates – many of which are threatened.
During your visit, you’ll see all the Lemurs, Meerkats, Otters, Alpacas, farm animals galore, amphibians, reptiles and so much more!
Laura and Leigh visited the park, and managed to get up close and personal with a mob of Meerkats, and that’s exactly what you could be doing by entering our latest competition!
We’re giving you the chance to win admission for you and your family to the Park PLUS a Meerkat Encounter package! You’ll get the chance to immerse yourself with the meerkat mob and actually go in with them and the keeper team to experience dinner time on the plains of the Savannah! You’ll even assist with feeding and training!

Terms and conditions
This prize is for x4 people to participate in the Meerkat Encounter at Askham Bryan Wildlife and Conservation Park.
All participants must be over 7 years old.
Within the x4 participants, one must be a supervising adult over 16 years old.
You will go into the enclosure with the Meerkats, please wear suitable shoes and no open toes.
The Meerkat Encounter runs at 11:50am at the Wildlife Park on Weekends and School Holidays, please be at the sign in at reception and be ready at the enclosure a minimum 5/10min before the encounter time.
The Encounter runs for 20mins.
They cannot be done during Term Time, even if the Wildlife Park is open.
The timings cannot be changed for the Meerkat Encounter
The prize cannot be exchanged for another type of Encounter available.
The prize is not refundable and can’t be exchanged.
You do not need to purchase Admission Tickets; these are included in the Prize.
One entry per person/per location
Winners will be drawn at random from all correct entries, after the closing date
Winners will be contacted directly either email or telephone
There are no cash alternatives, no refunds or exchanges available.
Prizes can’t be exchanged refunded or transferred to another person
