Infamous music paedophile Gary Glitter is reportedly “on his last legs”, with fellow inmates speculating that the criminal’s demise may be imminent.
The 81-year-old’s health is said to be deteriorating in prison, with reports suggesting he is almost entirely deaf, wheelchair-bound and refusing to leave his cell. The pop sex offender, currently incarcerated at HMP Channings Wood in Devon, was returned to prison in March 2023 after violating his licence conditions.
The singer, born Paul Gadd, was imprisoned in 2015 for having sex with a girl under 13, attempted rape and four counts of indecent assault but was released a month before his recall.
According to a source speaking to The Sun, the notorious paedophile is “on his last legs, with his body giving up”. They stated: “He is deaf and can barely move – and most people would struggle to recognise him now. He seems to be on his last legs, with his body giving up.”

Last year, Glitter was denied parole after a panel concluded that the criminal continued to demonstrate a “lack of victim empathy”. Despite this, an insider claimed that both inmates and prison staff believe the paedophile could die in custody, reports the Mirror.
The source further commented: “And if he doesn’t get parole soon most officers and inmates think he will see out his days in jail.” They added: “Glitter’s case was also back in court recently and that has weighed on him and is adding to his woes. He is deeply troubled by what is going on.”
This individual also allegedly stated that the convicted paedophile pop star is perceived as “arrogant” by other inmates and is largely unpopular within the prison.
