Hull FC have suffered two training ground injuries this week, with Aidan Sezer and Yusuf Aydin dropping out of the 21-man squad to face Leeds Rhinos this Sunday afternoon.

Hull Live has been told that both injuries have been picked up in training, with Sezer copping a blow to his pec and Aydin to his ankle – with the full severity to be known after further tests. The duo are replaced by young hooker Will Hutchinson and young outside back Ryan Johnson.

On the injury front, Hull are also without Will Pryce (ACL), Harvey Barron (ankle), Herman Ese’ese (Achilles), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), Joe Batchelor (calf), Ryan Westerman (foot), and Joe Ward (ACL).

The latest injury blows mean a potential recall for Callum Kemp in the halves. The teenager keeps his place in the 21, with Logan Moy also named and within a chance of a first Super League appearance of the season.

Meanwhile, Jake Arthur is set to go up against Leeds Rhinos coach and dad Brad Arthur for the first time in the U.K. game. Cade Cust and Amir Bourouh are also spine options, while Zak Hardaker played the full-back role last week. He is named in the squad once again alongside Davy Litten.

“We haven’t finalised our side yet – we’ll get together on Saturday,” head coach John Cartwright said. “We’ve had two good training runs, though. We’ve tried a few different things and trained with a few different combinations. We’ll put it all together on Saturday.

“We feel like we’re not far away with the side that we’ve had. We had a close loss to Leigh and a close loss to Wakefield. We were winning those games last year, but the bounce hasn’t gone our way this year and we haven’t won them. We’re not panicking and we’re not going to make rash changes. We’ve just got to get better at what we do.”
