Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street’s Maggie Driscoll has made even more enemies as the April death plot looms.

In a flashforward episode earlier this year, Betsy Swain came across a dead body, with the soap revealing it to be one of five people.

Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster were confirmed as potential victims.

Viewers have known for a while that Megan has been grooming Will Driscoll, Maggie’s grandson. Sam Blakeman uncovered the truth and was then threatened by Megan, causing him to take ADHD medication as a way to cope with the stress he was under.

In this week’s episodes, Megan was arrested for the crime after Sam finally revealed the truth to his stepmum, Leanne.

In tonight’s episode, Maggie told Sam off for not raising the alarm over Megan earlier, saying: “You. Why didn’t you speak up sooner? If she was abusing him like that, you should have spoken out.”

After Maggie said she hoped it was worth it, Sam asked: “Worth what?” An angry Maggie replied: “Getting better grades for keeping your trap shut. I take it that’s what’s happened?”

Leanne and Toyah intervened and warned her off, with Maggie saying: “That young fella needs better role models.”

Could Maggie’s argument with Sam play a role in the drama to come? Is Maggie the victim, or could her rage mean she could be an aggressor in the upcoming murder plot, considering how much she hates Megan?

Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, Eva marched up to Daniel and announced that Megan was pregnant, telling him they suspect that the baby is Will’s.

Megan met up with Will and explained why she had to lied and say the baby was Daniel’s, and she handed him a burner phone so they could stay in touch.

When Daniel suggested Megan should take a DNA test, she refused, so Daniel finished things with her, concluding that she must have something to hide if she doesn’t want to take the test.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
