Per the release, Carr will be back to host both the Halloween Special and series three, alongside deputy Roisin Conaty.
The pair will be back to challenge “a new lineup of comedians to keep a straight face while trying to make their opponents laugh”.
Meanwhile, the show recently got an exciting update with the announcement of its podcast spinoff show The Last Laugh: The Last One Laughing Podcast.
Hosted by Conaty, marking her first-ever job as a podcast host, the companion show sees Conaty dissect the events of the main show.
Talking about the spin-off show, Conaty said in a statement: “It’s been a real treat for me getting to do my first podcast.
“The recording experience was an absolute joy, and I absolutely loved chatting about Last One Laughing and all the behind-the-scenes shenanigans with some of the funniest people around.”
The podcast will follow the same release schedule as Last One Laughing, with the first three episodes dropping yesterday, followed by the next two episodes on Thursday, 26 March. The final will air on Thursday, 2 April.
The lineup for the second season features Alan Carr, Romesh Ranganathan, Maisie Adam, David Mitchell, Mel Giedroyc, Sam Campbell, Diane Morgan, Amy Gledhill, and Gbemisola Ikumelo, alongside returning champion Bob Mortimer.

Speaking on The One Show, Conaty said that Mortimer’s unexpected return came as a complete surprise to the other comedians.
“It’s interesting seeing how people responded to him. Some people, you see the aggressive players thinking ‘I’m going for Bob’. And then you see the ones who are a bit more… running away,” she said.
She added: “But when he walked into the house, people scattered like pigeons. They were like ‘no, no, no’. They didn’t know he was gonna be in there.”
