Two men have been taken to hospital following a disturbance in Nottingham city centre.
The incident took place just before 8am, when officers were called to Victoria Bus Station, behind Victoria Centre, to reports of a fight.
The stretch of Woodborough Road between Huntingdon Street and Mansfield Road was cordoned off by the police, with two of the force’s vehicles and a number of officers guarding the cordon.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police explained two men were arrested at the scene of the incident and then taken to hospital for treatment.
The nature and gravity of their injuries have not been revealed.
The spokesman said: “Any additional witnesses to this incident are asked to call 101 quoting incident 135 of 21 March 2026.”
Nottingham City Transport (NCT) buses Sky Blue 60 and 61 were operating on a diverted route due to the closure.
A statement from NCT read: “Due to an incident on Woodborough Road Sky Blue 60 and 61 are diverting Buses towards Mapperley will use Glasshouse Street, missing the Mansfield Road and Huntingdon Street named stops.
“Buses towards the City will use Shelton Street.”
The cordon was still in place as of 10.45am.
